I want glasses. It’s mainly an image thing; I like the way they look on people. The main problem is that I have 20-20 vision, and would like to keep it that way. I know you can buy glasses with plain glass in them, but I worry that I may end up cross-eyed like everyone in that Steve Martin movie, The Jerk.
Can wearing glasses for strictly cosmetic reasons cause vision problems?
I don’t know. How have you fared wearing sunglasses? Did they make you cross-eyed?
I think you will be fine unless of course you get glasses that pinch the bridge of your nose so tightly that your nose swells up like a tomato and you go cross-eyed from looking at it.
They sell flat pieces of glass or plastic, ask your an eye doctor. I keep seeing these all the time in movies, they tend to reflect a lot because they’re flat and just destroys the credibility of the actor, at least for me.
Get UV protection and you’ll have an excuse to wear them all the time.
Not sure I get the problem. You want to wear glasses to make you look cool/sexy/keen/whatever, but you’re afraid if you wear glasses when you don’t need them, they might ruin your eyes, and you’ll have to wear glasses? Isn’t that the point?
FWIW, I don’t think they’ll cause you any problems. Just don’t go putting the Opti-grab on them. (I like that show)
