I haven’t seen any mention about what will become of Kim Jong-Il’s body. I know that his father was preserved in the same fashion as Lenin and put on display in a glass case. Does the same fate await the remains of Kim Jong-Il?
BBC says it is expected that he will be embalmed and kept.
It’s disgusting in the long run. Mao is mostly wax at this point, I think.
Why don’t they just use plastination?
Maybe they think it makes the skin peel off and some of the muscles dissolve…
It looks like he will be:
I read an eye-witness account that Kim Il-Sung’s preserved body looks pretty awful, though no photography is allowed. Pops apparently was sent to Moscow for preservation by the same folks who take care of Lenin, but apparently they did a bit of a slapdash job.
I remember reading something about the people who did Kim Il Sung being employed to do Mao when he kicked the bucket; but the job was not that well done, and allegedly his ear fell off at one point.
Certainly the Tussards all-wax models look much less waxy than Mao does… He has a nice shine about him…
