will my female cats quit trying to eat my new male kitten?

Ok I have 4 mid to late middle aged female cats and haven’t had a male around since they were kittens themselves

Well due to cousin in laws dumbness in letting her cat escape while in heat we took two of the 3 kittens so her exercerable relatives wouldn’t get one (they made the cat they were given mean and when they moved no one wanted it because it was too aggressive they dumped it somewhere )

One in a female and they don’t grown and hiss at her unless she tries to pounce the tail or nurse …

The second is a male and the minute there in the same room as he is the growling and hissing and flexing of claws …he runs out of the room when they start up

my question is will they get used ot the male cat to al least indifference or make friends or are we in for a hard time ?

How old is the male? Has he been neutered yet?

Neutering might help - but then, six cats might just be one cat too many for your established group to cope with. Cats are territorial. They may have just decided that the male is the weirdo and doesn’t fit.

Usually, I only interfere in my animals’ personal relationships if there’s actual contact. I would usually say, just wait it out and let them figure it out. But if the male is still in the cute kitten stage, it might be easier to find him a new home now than when he’s older.

If the male gets big enough they’ll leave him alone. And if they haven’t spayed you’re going to have a whole other problem if you keep him around.

Bad kitties…? :frowning:

Yeah. Gotta fix 'em all…
