Will Republicans actually repeal the Affordable Care Act?

Exactly, because Obamacare means people who don’t deserve it getting health insurance. Since they deserve it, their health insurance isn’t Obamacare.

And when the lose their health coverage when the Republicans repeal Obamacare, it will be Obama’s fault.

There would seem to be little reason to propose alternatives which, no matter how good (not saying they would be - but again it is moot) are going to be rejected. The donkeys are every bit as invested in keeping it as the elephants seem to be in jettisoning it.

There also seems to be an assumption that the elephants would just eliminate it without proposing a substitute. The donkeys in that circumstance would certainly categorically reject any alternative no matter what merits it might have. But life is tough and we all have to eat a bit of poo now and then.

On the other hand the elephants in that situation could pretty much kill it just by doing nothing - it is very likely going to ultimately collapse under its own inherent flaws if it is not majorly tinkered with.

Emergency room bills can still run into many thousands of dollars even after ACA.
So…

If it’s repealed, what will those who had been on it do for medical insurance coverage in the meantime?
I mean that if they’re going to repeal it, there should be something to take its place…but I don’t see how that could happen very quickly.
