I’ve taken a couple of stabs at designing the site myself. “It’ll be easy,” they said. “Just use a template” they said.
Well, I know that in this decade this is tantamount to admitting oneself to be mentally handicapped, but when it comes to making an attractive webpage, I’m just not getting it. I’m clumsy. And blind. And, well, just stupid. (About this I mean.) And everytime I try to use a template, some frustrating disaster happens. Things get buggy. Font sizes and alignments go wonky. It’s enough to make a body give up. And I do.
So hear my pitiful plea. Will someone please just do this for me?
I want the site to do exactly what it presently does, with the exception that I would like it to look nice and encourage business rather than looking ratty and discouraging business.
I’m interested, can you point at other sites that have a look that is close to what you are looking for? (one can not copy a design, but one can get a better idea of what you are looking for)
As for the graphics, it shouldn’t be all serious business. The logo I currently have on there, I’d really like to keep and make prominent. I think it sets the right tone. (I can get you the Illustrator file behind that JPG if you need it. My wife designed the logo.)
I just sent a message to you from the email address that I prefer so you can send me the image file.
As I said in the message, you are lucky today, I’m going to apply for jobs next week that need some samples of my work, and this is why I’m willing to create new images for your site if you want to.
One quick nitpick: I noticed that the gray “rightcolumn” area extends to the bottom of my browser, whereas the blue “leftcolumn” stops a little less than a centimeter shy of the browser’s status bar. Could **GIGObuster **perhaps spend another minute or so to fix up that mismatch?
