Yeah, it does not really qualify. I was just thinking it was a candidate since, in the end, they don’t end up together, so in that sense the will they/won’t they question comes down on ‘won’t’. But that is probably not in the spirit of the OP.

Also the painter/wallpaper guy. The only guy (other than Tony) Carmela ever got to knock boots with was that teacher dude.

Are you confusing Romeo & Juliet with some other play? Because they do end up together in the end. They’re legally albeit secretly married, they’re in love with each other until the end of their (short) lives, and each chooses to die rather than live without the other. They’re even in the same physical location when they die, so they’re “together” in the most literal sense at the end of the play.

Which reminds me of Eldin and Murphy on Murphy Brown. At least, I always thought there might be something made of that relationship. Or maybe there was at some point.
