I hope not. But I hope it is because Melanoma gouges his eyes out in a fit of rage, thereby not allowing him to “see” prison.
B-b-b-but her emails!
Democrats are pretty good at tossing out wrongdoers from public office. Certainly not perfect but they will throw their own under the bus without a whole lot of pushing (see: Al Franken).
Republicans embrace their wrongdoers and circle around them. The more wrong they do, the more republicans protect them (see: Donald Trump).
Just in the last couple weeks both the mayor of Baltimore and the Governor of Illinois appear to be in trouble.
I guess you could go scream at the sky. That’s likely to be at least as effective as this lame-ass talk of prison.
That’s the bar then? That the lying orange jackass will manage to avoid prison?
If that now constitutes a winning outcome, then far be it from me to deny you that much.
Seems like a longstanding tradition for occupants of both offices. It’s not partisan thuggery if the pol is actually guilty. While some Republicans pols might want a revenge prosecution or impeachment if The Donald is booted, I still think most run of the mill Republicans have ethical standards. Get the evidence out there and the Senate may be more afraid of old fashioned Republican voters than they are Trumpists.
Yeah, I’m OK with people who commit crimes getting prosecuted. I’m weirdly consistent that way. That has nothing to do with the assertion that members of the Democrat(ic) Party need to be prosecuted just to even things out.
As a resident in Illinois I am hard pressed to remember a time when an Illinois governor was not in trouble.
Really. (and note that includes both republicans and democrats…we are an equal opportunity corrupt state)
On the upside they all keep getting busted. So that’s a good point to pluck out of the pile of shit.
No kidding
Al Franken is accused of sexual misconduct
Democratic party: Sorry Al - you might have gotten away with this shit on SNL but we have to hold senators to a higher standard. We’re done here.
Franken: No, I get it, sorry I embarrassed you
Multiple women accuse Roy More of sexual child abuse over the course of decades
Republican Party: We Stand Behind Roy More!
More: Fuck Everyone! I ain’t goin NOWHERE!
As much as I’d like to see him in an orange jumpsuit, I think that could be a bad idea. Some of his idiotic followers – those who inexplicably believe that he really is a “blue-collar billionaire” – would make a folk hero out of him.
So I want him convicted and instead of getting jail time being fined large amounts, enough to strip him and his kids (who no doubt would have to contribute to save Dear Old Dad) of all their money. I want him so disgraced that his rich friends and supporters would avoid being seen with him lest the stench spread to them. I want those idiotic followers to come to the realize that there’s nothing to idolize in a blue-collar thousandaire.
I just saw where the AARP and McDonald’s are teaming up to promote hiring seniors to work at the golden arches. In my fantasies I want to see him in a paper cap, asking me if I want fries with my sandwich.
The question in this thread is “Will Trump see prison?” not anything about where any bar should be. I don’t think he will. Do you?
insh’Allah.
Do you think God willed President Trump to win the 2016 election?
God in league with the Devil? Now there’s an interesting fan theory…
Do I, f*ck.
No. It’s simply a turn of phrase; an embracing of a perfectly delusional idea for an earnest yearning.
The odds against Trump going to prison have to be ten thousand to one. He’s a rich white Republican, being protected by Republicans and Russians. Even if by some miracle the process started, he could appeal and weave his way out of jail much longer than his life expectancy. He’s an unhealthy fat man going on 73, so even if he’s prosecuted he’s much likelier than not to die before he’s convicted of anything.
