His dad was my headmaster (principal) from kindergarten through fourth grade. Looked just like William does nowadays. I don’t remember the dad also being a jackbooted thug, but it’s possible.

It’s nearly impossible for a principal to be a proper jackbooted thug, seeing as their primary role is to be bootlickers of administration higher-ups and the school board.

Chris Wray’s FBI is what is enabling Wray to tell Barr to go fuck himself.

I am sure that getting a visit from FBI agents is scary and intimidating in any circumstance, and I understand that Trump has his supporters even within the agency (though very few these days). But it is those visits that will continue to provide Wray with the proof he needs to leak another report confirming that the FBI still “has no intelligence indicating antifa involvement/presence” in the violence that occurred on May 31 during the D.C.-area protests over the murder of George Floyd and beyond. So Wray is complying with his bosses’ orders but at the same time finding a way to let the public know that what Trump and Barr are trying to sell is all bullshit.

Wray is in a very tough spot. He has tried to hold the line to support his agents, simultaneously push against the worst impulses of Trump and Barr and remain in the position where he is able to accomplish this. I was not prepared to support Wray’s appointment when it was made, but he has earned my grudging respect.

As for Barr, I hope he is the person arrested just behind Trump when Trump is evicted from the White House. His abuses make John Mitchell’s look like patty cake play time. He has dishonored his oath to the American people, demoralized the DOJ and used his power against the best interests of both. He is a zealot, and that makes him as dangerous as he can be. Can’t get rid of him fast enough.
