How do you say “Get out and stay out” in Cajun French?

If Louisiana weren’t so fucked up, he would have been. 75% of the vote didn’t go to him, but there were enough candidates that he still managed to get a plurality.
First of all, I never thought I’d be posting in a threat in the Pit but hey, there’s always the first time.
I live in the 2nd Congressional District and voted for Mr. Cao yesterday. Captain Carrot is right on the money about the many people who didn’t go vote this time. A lot actually thought Jefferson had already WON. Yeah he won but it was the runoff of the Democratic PRIMARY that he won not the final election. I don’t know if it was a case of voter fatigue so much as it was just woeful ignorance on the part of the voters.
What does that hve to do with ahn cao who beat Jefferson?
It’s Ahn Cao, and he’s a man. Here’s a picture of him, his wife, and daughter:
Don’t let the door BAM! you in the ass on the way out?
Oh noes! Somebody heard a name on the radio and spelled it wrong on the intertubes!
Call the Basement-Dwelling Nitpick Society to come and waste bandwidth in order that this heinous injustice be forever righted!
Betsy looks like a darling. As my mother would say, in about 9 years he’s going to need to get a big broom to sweep all the young men, waiting to take her out, off his stoop.
Good for the people of District 2 in Louisiana, and for the rest of the country.
Eh, I’m still not convinced.
Actually it was just friendly teasing of gonzo I don’t know why the basement dwelling asshole society had to get involved.

It was said above that the district is extremely democratic and I think many times in a district heavily weighted towards one party whoever wins that parties primary effectively wins the office. Perhaps people assumed that this was the state of affairs in this election? Do you think that this could have been part of what caused the outcome?
Pleasantly nice to see the dems here can eat one of their own.
Still sounds like Ann.
You misunderstand, the roasting on a spit is not a culinary exercise…
It’s Anh Cao, not Ahn. Anh actually is typically a woman’s name, though as a title, it means older brother, or somebody who is male and somewhat older than you. In fact in Vietnamese, I would address Mr. Cao as anh Anh. For that reason, you usually see it as a two part name, e.g., Kieu Anh, Mai Anh, Quynh Anh, Kim Anh.
This is probably why Cao goes by “Joseph.”
And how we’re cheering as Patrick Fitzgerald takes down crooked IL Gov Rod Blagojevich, who’s also a Dem.
He apparently was angling to sell Obama’s old Senate seat to the highest bidder. Scum like that, we can do without.
Go, Fitz!!
I think it is awesome that there is a cleaning of the house with these two. I just wish the party was more involved and public about the heave ho. Gotta wonder when the next old-school politics type, the senior senator Daniel Inouye from Hawaii, is doing the perp walk. Getting rid of corrupt individuals helps the party.
Fitz appears to be the genuine article. Even though I don’t like his politics any better than I like green eggs and ham, I’d support his appointment as Special Executive Hardass in Charge.
Of course, it appears that this Blogwhatsis guy was dumber than a barrel of hair, and could have been brought down by a Cub Scout for his Junior G-Man merit badge. Makes Bush look like Disraeli.
Word is leaking out that Obama’s future White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, was the one to blow the whistle on this scumbag! Damn this makes me feel good about the incoming administration.
Yep. Apparently, when Obama was floating Valerie Jarrett for the empty seat, Blago was trying to extort some goodies from a future Obama administration for it. Notice that Jarrett took herself out of the running a couple days ago? Looks like Obama wouldn’t play. Emmanuel was sent to Fitzgerald to sing about the Senate appointment exchange and the jaws of the trap closed this morning.
Reportedly, there is actual audiotape of a conference call between Blago, some of his cronies and his wife in which he actually said that he wasn’t going to appoint someone to a Senate seat for the sake of “appreciation”. He also reportedly said that a Senate seat was too valuable to just give away.
How does someone get that high in state politics and be that stupid?
