William Shatner and DeForest Kelley - The Straight Dope?

Please. They were on the Enterprise, not the Raging Queen.

Or that bus called Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Only if you can identify in which Western he said, “I’m a doctor, not a whatchamacallit.” :slight_smile:

Dude! Nobility isn’t about merit or ability, it’s about ENTITLEMENT. Hell, it’s where the term “entitlement” comes from.

How did that go at the end? “A Spock in a frock on a rock”?

[QUOTE=Krokodil]
In deference to the mores of the era, this ep. did not feature a long string of spit, like that girl-on-girl kiss on DSN. Takei has expressed regret that his Enterprise didn’t have a holodeck or a steam room, like later iterations of the show, as that would’ve opened terriffic possibilities for the script.

Or even, dare I say it?..A decontamination chamber! With everyone smearing goo all over each other!

When I saw that scene, I knew that Enterprise was doomed to irrelevance. Ugh. :frowning:

Did capt. Kirk ever make it with one of those uberhot green-skinned alien slave girls?
They were so hot!

As far as I know, the only other one shown outside of “The Cage” is Marta (Yvonne Craig), from “Whom Gods Destroy.” And Kirk didn’t make it with her.

You know he wanted to, though.

Even if her dancing reminded Spock of Vulcan schoolchildren’s. :wink:

I saw De Kelley at a Star Trek convention years ago, and unfortunately, Shatner, who was drunk on his ass, came out onstage with him and thoroughly hogged the appearance. Kelley was polite enough to just stand back and let Shatner go, too; I would have preferred that he ask him to shut up occasionally so we could hear what he had to say. He came across as a very nice, very genuine man.

For some reason, probably the accent, my mind continues to insist that Captain Picard would be in charge of the Raging Queen, not Kirk.
