Windows customization

I recently saw Mac OS 11 on an instructors laptop. I loved the interface. Is there a theme out there for Win XP that mimics OS11?

Also, after much searching I can’t seem to find a basic Matrix screensaver. You know, with the falling characters across the screen. I found one but the creator spoiled it by occassionally having images from the movie come through the character matrix. Any help?
Thanks.

You can dress up a pig all you want but it’s still going to be a pig.
My apologies to porcines everywhere.

You can find a Matrix screensaver by poking around here. Last I checked, it was limited to 800 x 600, so if you use a higher resolution there will be a black frame around it.

This place might help.

Thanks. I’ll check out the links when I get home.

Well Bugs Bunny dressed up like a lady was still a rabbit. But he was still hot.

Not much of a retort but how do you defend Windows?

Are you… from the future?

Widgets can be accomplished using the free Yahoo Widget Engine (formerly known as Konfabulator). Docks (including OSX-style), Windows skins/themes and window effects can be accomplished using Stardock’s Object Desktop. I use both myself and quite like it.

Whenever i see a thread about Windows, i make a little bet with myself regarding how long it will be before some self-important Mac owner (or MS hater) will make a pointless and stupid drive-by post.

This thread, my bet was 5th post and/or 35 minutes.

Congratulations on your speed. You even managed to beat rjung to the punch.

Yeah, that was my question too. Isn’t 10.4 (Tiger) the latest iteration of the Mac OS?

My bad. I don’t pay any attention to macs.

Downloading screensavers (well, screensavers, along with other fancy things like those animated smilies etc) is, in my experience, one of the higher-risk activities on the web; I was in the market for a Matrix screensaver once upon a time and I tried a few different ones, all downloaded from what appeared to be reputable sites. One of them was infected with a trojan.

Yeah, I know. But the mac “ribbon” is pretty cool. Plus, I’m being careful and wearing latex gloves.
