Windows Media Player Equivalent?

I like the user interface of WMP10. Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems WMP11 is more image based while WMP10 has everything listed as text.

You just need to adjust the view.

Just to make sure we’re on the same page, click on Artist in WMP11, then just to the left of the search box (above the column headings), you’ll see two icons, Layout Options and View Options. You’ll then want to make sure Details is selected under View Options, which will take you back to the text based menus you’re probably used to.

I also have Show Classic Menus selected under Layout Options, but each to their own.

WMP11 is a pretty good player IMO and works even better if you download the K-Lite Codec pack. With that installed I’m yet to come across anything that won’t play.

Winamp got better, actually, the recent versions are nice. And they work just fine with my iPod and my Sansa.

Winamp is great, especially with the plug-in that lets you manage your iPod better. It feels leaner and meaner than the other modern programs, though I still hate it when the program insists on going to the web all the time if you happen to hit the wrong button.
