I am spending some time this afternoon ripping some CDs to my laptop, including a bunch of classical CDs. When Windows Media Player displays the album information, it is sometimes incorrect. For example I have a CD of “Holst: The Planets” by Charles Dutoit and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. But WMP displays album info and cover art for a different version of the CD with Herbert von Karajan.
If I right-click on the album art and select “Find album info”, a box for “musicmatch.com” pops up but always says “No match found.” When I used to do this on iTunes, if there were multiple possible entries in the Gracenotes database it would pop up a list and let me pick one.
Is there a way in Windows Media Player to search for alternate album info and album art? Or am I stuck with whatever it decided to pull up?
