Windows Media Player/XM online help

I did a dumb thing (nothing new about that!), and decided to see what would happen if I clicked on XM Radio online. It wouldn’t let me out of that, and I wound up listening to a really great channel. Now I can’t access my regular WM online radio stations. I tried going to the Windows Media Guide, and all the stations it gave me were XM stations. I admit that they’ve got a kazillion stations, and they look great, but sorry folks, my budget’s already full to bursting.

I assume that since I ain’t never gonna pay them for XM, it will eventually stop showing up, but I don’t want to wait. I tried playing some stuff from my library, but all it would show me (still) was XM over on the right where it usually has

Music | Radio | Video

and you click on one of them. I have some online stations saved to “my stations”, and I like them. They sound really good with optimized streaming (I have the lowest rate DSL). What’s even better is they’re free.

one time bump

Click the little black down arrow to the right of the XM icon – just past where the Music | Radio | Video buttons used to be. It’s a drop-down menu that’ll let you choose other radio stations.

Or, heck, just click on the XM logo itself. That entire area should work

It didn’t when I tried it, and the arrow to the right only showed online purchase sites. :smack: :sigh: However, on a subsequent reboot, the choices finally came back. Thanks for your attempts to help. I promise I’ll never make that mistake again!
