Nitpick noted. I was trying to give a somewhat non-technical answer to the question, so I might have lost a little accuracy. I meant that the computer was on in the sense that all power has not been withdrawn, like it is in hibernate. I could have stated it better, though.
Oh, I knew all that. Thanks anyway, though. I meant that there’s no direct key combination to hibernate the system, whereas Fn+Esc will put it into sleep instantly. No equivalent hibernate option.
I don’t have a “sleep” button, but I just set the power button to send the laptop to hibernation land.
