“Surprisingly good” because it’s a web series, not because it’s Aussie. I don’t usually watch many web series, but I stumbled upon this one and it has me reconsidering that attitude. And I *really *wasn’t expecting much when I read that it was “partially crowd-funded” but that, too, added to my surprise.
The best part? The episodes are ~5 minutes long and released on youtube, so there’s no reason not to check out the first couple episodes. And the premise is so simple, I don’t even have to bother to summarize it myself, just quote their own succinct summary:
I just finished watching the series. It’s a pretty easy series to watch, since each episode only averages about 4 minutes.
My opinion: Hmmm, difficult to say. I enjoyed it pretty much. (I did watch the whole series.) The premise was entertaining, but I kept thinking [ minor spoiler] “is the angel really an angel?”
I didn’t really find it funny, even though it’s billed as a comedy. I don’t remember laughing much, or at all. It’s more of a “smiling” reaction.
On the other hand, the acting seemed pretty good (except I found the angel a little too over the top).
I guess I’d recommend it to others as an entertaining series to watch when you have a little time.
