WinSock Fix for Windows ME?

I know there exists a WinSockFix for Windows XP but is there one for Windows ME? I’m having a hell of a time trying to fix this thing so I was hoping there was a tool already out there. If not, can you give me any advice? A good explanation of how it should be done even?
