Winter Blues Postcard Exchange

OK - it is January. We have folks bummed about the election, bummed about winter in general, bummed that holiday cards are no longer rolling in, etc.

SO, having drafted off of other’s efforts in the past… I think it is my turn to take a stab at semi-coordinating another chapter in the great SMDB postcard exchange!

Per the usual instructions.

  1. Chime in here.
  2. PM me your address.
  3. Tell if you CAN NOT do international mailings (its cool - just let me know).

I will give it a couple of weeks, hoping others can bump the thread if I get too busy at work, and soon after February 1st I will pull a mad-scramble and put together a quick spreadsheet, develop a sorting methodology that might fail utterly, and I will then start to PM back your list of potential recipients, and we will play a game of “Who got mail?”

Buy your cards now, folks! Local historic site gift shops, art galleries, museums, visitors bureaus and bookstores are usually good spots.

I’m in!

Antique stores/collectives are another great place to find postcards–boxes and boxes of them. Some dealers charge WAY too much though, so buyer beware–I’ve seen the same card priced at $3 in one stall and 50 cents in another.
