Multiplayer is limited to a co-op/Vs campaign or battle skirmishes.
The game franchise has gotten more popular now, so it might have been a cool idea to keep around. I don’t think it was a very popular feature with Empire, it was hard to find someone willing to fight a battle with you.
Well that’s lame. I think it wasn’t terribly popular because it was fairly hidden and they didn’t advertise it. They should’ve made the feature clear, made it easy to opt-in, and maybe gave some sort of token achievements or rewards to give it a try. It’s a really fun idea - someone can quickly drop in for a multiplayer battle without much commitment, and someone else can have the battles in their campaign realistically offer a challenge and the potential for loss.
It’s such a great feature that it should’ve been a headliner for them, not something buried away. I guess I’ll wait a bit on Rome to get cheaper if it doesn’t have that feature.
I’m grabbing space engineers. Apparently its price will raise as it gets closer to release, so if you think you’ll be interested in it, grab it now for $10. Looks fun. Anyone else have some last minute recommendations (preferably cheap) that are part of the sale but not a daily deal?
I picked up Contraption Maker yesterday for $1.49. From the makers of “The Incredible Machine” from the 90s. It’s exactly the same game, but still a fun little time waster.
