It’s snowing, again! We had snow Wednesday, yesterday, and now again this morning. Fortunately, it never sticks around. It generally starts melting off the roads by the afternoon. It sure does look pretty though. I, fortunately, am off, so I don’t have to worry about driving with folks that don’t know how to drive in the snow.
My kids are peeved, because they have to go to school. So, I get to look at the pretty snow for awhile and it won't be messed up by the kids and the dog playing in it.
Aah, it's so nice and quiet! I'm sitting here with my strong, black coffee, looking out the window at the pretty snow. I took some nice pictures, but, for whatever reason, I can never attach pictures while in the Straight Dope. So, you'll just have to imagine it.
I know, this was pretty mundane, probably a little lame, but, after all, this is MSPIMS.
You can afford to ski?! I can’t afford that anymore, kids, a new house, much bigger mortgage, damn.
Well, it’s now afternoon and it quit snowing this morning. However, I just talked to my friend who is stuck on Hwy 167 because of an accident. He said it’s snowing where he is sitting.
Here in good ol’ Puyallup, we still have snow on the grass, but it melted off the roads.
I, for one, wish it would dump a good couple of feet. The kids would be ecstatic, with the weekend, we don’t have to work.
I live in Snowless Land. I miss the pretty but do not miss the shoveling…
Also, your username makes me want to say “Who’s Taters, precious?”
And you can’t attach pictures because you’re not allowed to - it’s the way the boards are set up - but if you can put them online somewhere else you could link us to them with the URL!
On those rare instances when I get snow over here, it never does more than make the roof a lighter shade of gray. Plus I had to spend the day nailing boards to a ceiling with no heat (brrrrrrrrrrrr).
Having grown up in Illinois with blizzards, I NEVER want to be where you are again.
Snow is really beautiful…from a distance here in Las Vegas, I can see it on Mt. Charleston. That is as close as I ever want to get again.
I can still remember…car so cold it only got warm when you got where you were going, feet frozen, fingers frozen, shaving ice off windshields, seeing my breath, layers of clothes and still freezing my ass off…no thanks. Send me a picture…to be honest, whenever I see scenes like that on television - even in July - I still shiver.
I still get excited by snow days. I show up at the office no matter what, but’s it’s a nice feeling to leave the house w/ everyone still cuddled up in bed snoozing.
When I get home, mrs_seal is oscillating with tension after being stuck at home all day with the snowbrats.
Oh yeah, well I just want to say that it’s beautiful and sunny and 15 degrees (celcius) outside right now and I live in the snow belt of southern Ontario.
Take that!
You know why? Because traditionally, at this time of the year, we are buried under snow while those Vancouverites (and their ilk) are enjoying balmy, warm, spring-like weather.
But not today, no sir!
Today and the last few days it has been unseasonably warm and sunny here meantime it’s snowy and cold all over the west.
Ah, so rare this particular turn of events, I couldn’t resist.
Think I’ll go outside and take in a little sunshine, see ya!!
