wireless network question - high bandwidth failure

I have a strange phenomena with my wireless network, consisting of a Sony pcmcia network card and a sohoware netblaster ii wireless access point, linked to the hub and the rest of the network. When I do casual web surfing, and use less bandwidth, the connection stays on just fine.

However, when i try to copy lots of files, using the full bandwidth, the connection dies after about 5 minutes. Looking at the status connection info from windows xp, the computer is sending a signal to the access point, but getting nothing back. I have to reset the access point to get things working again.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a defective access point.

Contact the manufacture for possible new versions of the firmware for the access point or a replacement.
