I remember it as the show with Disproportionate Attractive People

The first arc with Ray Sharkey is my favorite. I remember the big climatic fight introduced me to Knights in White Satin. I freaked out and had to immediately find out who sang it. This was a decade before Google. I had to ask coworkers.
The Profitt Storyline arc with Kevin Spacey and Joan Severance was very good. I had a serious crush on Joan Severance. She had the same persona as Kathleen Turner.
Amazon’s got the entire series streaming except for the seven episode ‘Dead Dog Records’ storyline from season two.
As I recall, the lead was replaced, due to the issues mentioned above, and the show just petered out.

Memory is a funny thing. Some of the story arcs had so much impact on me that I remember them as being much longer. I remember Ken Wahl having to leave the show and Tony Denison coming in to replace him. Looking at it now I see that Denison was only in 4 episodes.
Wahl came back for a while, but was ultimately replaced permanently by Steven Bauer.
