Yes this is the ultimate privileged whine, but I’m so absent minded it is an issue.
Switched to the bigger dildo sized battery along with aspire clearos, and both these combine to suck liquid at a crazy rate. I mean I love the new aspire clearo, works great.
I a so absent minded I usually don’t notice until I get one or two nasty dry hits which is the wick burning since it has no liquid to vaporize, and by this time the wick is usually shot or damaged and the aspire has a new complex design that makes just using kanthal and cotton to replace it more difficult.
:smack:I just did it again on my last new aspire clearo, so now I either have to watch some youtube vids and get my tools out or order more and wait for them to arrive.
If I wanted to vape cannabis and suffered equipment failure I’d quickly switch to an alternate delivery vehicle (likely a glass pipe). That’s not an option for you?
Would there be a way to add a thermostat to the system so that current shuts off before melting your wire ? It could also light up a “reservoir empty” light.

Of course they can. Unfortunately some very smart marketing people think that the added expense would raise the selling price to the point that it wouldn’t be a profitable product. What you want is such a thing for free or close to it and that isn’t going to happen.
The battery already has three different color diodes to indicate battery charge level, AND in fact does cut off the power with LED blinking for some issue with the heating element I have not figured out yet(some clearos will allow a long pull, some only 4 seconds).
The other issue with the aspire clearos is so brain dead, the only opening for the liquid to get to the wick is higher up than the bottom of the tank.:smack:
(It doesn’t have an exposed wick, but holes in a metal cylinder with a thin pad inside and the wick and coil inside that.)
