The local casino gave me three free tickets for their NFL football pool. Not knowing much about NFL football or the teams, I simply played “quick picks” for all three tickets for the entire season.
So far I have on ticket one: 107 wins, 108 losses.
On ticket two I have: 108 wins and 107 losses.
And ticket three is is something like: 102 wins and 113 losses.
Now this might look bleak, but it isn’t! The way the pool works is that every week they offer prizes for those with the most wins, or those with the most losses…and at the end of the season, same thing same thing with most wins or whoever gets most losses.
HOWEVER - they also have $200,000 in prizes for what they call the “fiddle-in-the-middle” tickets - those tickets with the closest number of equal win/loss games!
So - assuming my luck holds out, one (or more) of those tickets should line up just about exactly in the middle! Depending on how many people have the same win/loss fiddle-in-the-middle scores, the #200,000 prize money is shared evenly!
Only two more weeks left in the pool - so wish me luck that my tickets continue to pull about a 50/50 split on wins and losses!
