I have been wondering, what is the definition of the term “witnessing,” as used in the discription of “Great Debates?”
It means to testify or proselytize.
This thread probably shouldn’t be in Cafe Society… maybe ATMB?
You might want to ask a mod to move it.
As for what witnessing is, I believe Aesiron is correct, testifying or proselytizing your religious beliefs.
Apologies to members this question was meant to be posted to “General Questions.”
Would a moderator please move this ?
Aesiron and FilmGeek,
Thank you both for your replies.
FilmGeek our posts must have passed like ships in the night.
Acts 1:8 (New International Version)
Jesus was telling His disciples to do this-n-that, and by doing so they would become His WITNESSES. Therefore, to testify or proselytize or whatever is called “witnessing.”
So moved. Since this thread is not witnessing, but is asking a General Question about what witnessing is, it’s OK for General Questions forum.
For future ref, you’ll probably get faster reaction from a moderator if you hit the “report this post” button. Otherwise, it’s sort of catch-as-catch-can.
