OK, that convinces me Stella is not Smithers. I’d not noticed that. (Maybe it was cut out of the syndicated version I have a copy of?) I did try to watch to see if Stella had the slight scar on her left cheek that Smithers has, but the copy I’m watching is lousy quality also, and I couldn’t tell.

He was. He was the stereotype of the horndog salesman. He was after Jennifer all the time but she was of course unobtainable. ISTR later in the show the actual possibility of cheating on his wife came up but he couldn’t go through with it. Its been a while since I have seen it though.
Yes…his wife, Lucille, was played by Edie McClurg, and appeared in three episodes (they also had a couple of kids, IIRC). This obviously didn’t stop Herb from hitting on Jennifer, or generally acting like a playboy.
I could never get past Jennifer’s hair, it is clearly a wig. Is Loni Anderson balding?
Well, it was clearly not her natural hair color, anyway. I remember seeing her in an appearance on The Tonight Show, during her days on WKRP, and Johnny Carson had a picture of her from the early 1970s, as a brunette (which she acknowledged was her natural hair color). With dark hair, she looked very Mediterranean.
I think she said she had a breast reduction, early in her career, too.
Has anyone seen Lucille and Bailey in the same frame?
She has very natural-looking hair, still that color and very nearly that style, in person. I have not posted my photos from Dragon*Con yet, and I don’t know even if among them I have any sufficiently close-up to be able to tell, but she walked past me at a distance of about 10 feet when she and Howard came into the room, and it sure didn’t look like a wig to me.
Damn we used to spend a lot of time talking about the Mary Ann/Ginger conundrum when I worked at a Boy Scout camp years ago during the summers.

Me too. And I’m definitely weird. But I think a lot of people can’t see past Jennifer’s looks. There wasn’t anything past Ginger’s looks.
