2004 was a good year for bench press records. In addition to Gene Rychlak’s 1005 lb. press, Becca Swanson set the female record with a 501 lb. press at the Arnold Classic. A video is available here, along with some of her other lifts.
Boy is that one badly-coded web page. Shiira, Safari, Opera, and Firefox were all unable to conjure up the MPEGs.
::Rummages around in the discard barrel folder for obscure apps I don’t use, to find Internet Explorer::
I notice it was coded with Microsoft Front Page. Big surprise there :rolleyes:
15 minutes for IE to pull down a 24 MB file from that site, must be skinny pipes they’ve got.
::MPEG finally loads::
Well that sucks, I can’t even save it to disk? And my ancient obsolete copy of Internet Explorer (5.1, I think?) displays the stupid thing about the size of a postage stamp.
::peers at page source again::
OK, here are links that will work in browsers other than Internet Explorer.

Sorry, but that’s a woman?
Sorry, but that’s supposed to be an intellegent comment?
I was wondering how long it would take someone to comment on her appearance. Five times as fast as in the other thread.
Eh, what can I say? When a woman souped up on steroids looks so much like a guy and is stronger than most of them, it is hard not to comment. Impressive lift of course, but that goes without saying.
Her appearance is pretty unique. Why not comment on it?

It’s almost like seeing goatse for the first time.
I see from her stats that she weighs 240, so her BP is slightly over two times bodyweight. Most impressive, and it’s way more than I could do, but still. Isn’t it fairly common for the strongest women in most weight classes to be able to bench twice their bodyweight?
