I couldn’t create a better headline so I just borrowed the one from the article. Maybe I’m becoming a true-crime fan because these headlines just catch my eye. The world is full of weird stuff you might never hear about ordinarily-like a nautilus of news, if that makes sense. I wonder if we’ll ever know if she was guilty?
It does not. Do you mean the mollusk, the submarine, or the exercise machine?
From the article linked above:
It sounds reminiscent of Fargo (the movie, not the series…mainly because I haven’t yet watched the series).
Among the many weirdnesses of the case:
How in hell would they know the woman had brown eyes? Did the victim somehow notice that detail and give a statement before dying? If you’re confronted by someone in a clown costume brandishing a gun, it seems unlikely you could pick out eye color.
Or was there unusually high-resolution security camera video?
Clown outfit doesn’t necessarily mean a mask & it’s amazing what one will fixate on in a stressful situation.
NBC doesn’t like my ad-blocker. Screw them.
Was the woman released on early parole, finished her sentence, or was it decided this was a wrongful conviction and she was released for that reason? or something else I didn’t think of.
Firstly, kudos on the accidental rhyme. Secondly, I don’t know. It just sounded good in my head at the time.
Arrested in 2017 & in custody for 7 years, served 17 months add’l or approx 8½ years of a 12 year sentence so seems like normal time off for good behavior to me.
Thanks.
Considering how frequently and mercilessly people were hanged once upon a time for murder, it’s astonishing today the relatively light sentences one can get for bumping someone off.
