Woman fools male-dominated development team into hiring her by dressing as man

Just kidding. But it is technically (partly) true. Our team never intentionally hired a woman*, and yet we somehow have one working for us now. She came out as transgender today.

Thanks to Una, I think I have a handle on how to behave. Though I’ll probably still get her name wrong occasionally…

  • Or didn’t hire a woman, obviously.

“Came out”? She didn’t stand at the urinal with the rest of the “team”?

We may be male-dominated but we have discovered better methods of resolving differences than comparing dicks.

Also, she works remotely. She was probably wearing a dress over the phone all this time. Given that I dial in to conference calls in my underwear all the time, I try not to think about this kind of stuff.

Often, when I’m online, I’m naked from my ankles down.

From the neck up too, I’d bet. PERVERT!!!

So, hint: you clearly didn’t learn everything you needed to know about how to behave. This is a jerkish thing to say.

Thank you for the mention.

OMG!!! Everyone check your pants! Someone lost something in the urinal!

(I wouldn’t want to handle it but it would have been a good Halloween prank)

 Why? I take it as guessing that she didn’t just wake up one morning, realize she was a woman and tell the people at work first of all. You know, before talking with her family, her close friends, her doctor, and starting the process of learning how to present as a woman.

Yeah. In fact, she had been out to her local friends for over a year. And when she came out at work, she sent a picture of herself in a nice dress. Presumably she likes dresses.

I did actually notice a voice change over the phone for the past months; no idea if that was due to the facade cracking or hormonal changes (I wouldn’t presume to ask).
