Woman says Bush raped her and she dies

Claims by the mentally ill of being abused/attacked/raped/persecuted by famous individuals are hardly unusual. And nor, unfortunately, are cases of suicide.

Unfortunately it seems that the media and less consciencious internet sources are more willing to air these cases before considering the evidence. Anything to stir-up a scandal.

No doubt these things do happen, but it should be kept in mind that those famous are more likely to attract fantasists.

There have been a spate of such accusations recently in the UK. fed by a scandal-hungry press who should know better and have received warnings about their behaviour from the law-courts. Most famous was probably the Hamiltons and John Leslie.

Of course, in common with Bush, the Hamiltons and John Leslie have managed to get themselves an undesirable reputation for other things. It kind of suggest why they may find themselves the targeted.

Why Great Debates? Put it wherever it should go, I wasn’t sure where this thread would head. Perhaps IMHO would be better? That’s fine with me.

As far as the polio B.S. conspiracy is concerned. Sorry but I never suggested that theory. I did attempt to explain how the concern might be justifed through the spread of aids VIA mass immunizations. That is a fact. There is nothing bizarre or any conspiracy involved. There was no recant on my position. Take it out of context if you want.

My other comments, ie: Bush wouldn’t do this or that, were the good guys, nazi or whatever. Apparently you don’t recognize sarcasm even when it’s pointed out. If anyone wants to go to the thread (an obvious red herring) or start a new one to debate whether AIDS was spread by mass immunizations in Africa, please feel free.

If you have faith/trust in GWB’s honesty and integrity, then I doubt there is anything that will persuade you to be even a little bit concerned about this story or anything else he’s said or done. Good for you. I’m a bit more cautious where he’s concerned. I don’t believe all the crap out there. But I don’t simply dismiss them all either. There’s often some element of truth in even the most ridiculous stories. That’s what I’m looking for, that bit of truth. Did he know the woman at all? I don’t know. Would he screw around on his wife?
Is he or anyone supporting him capable of doing this? I think probably.
Do I have any evidence? That’s why I asked. I said outright that I probably would have to take a few lumps over this. But at least I’ve been honest about it.

I also commented on Bush’s attitude towards executions and vengence. I think the evidence would show he is capable of having someone put to death if he thinks they are a threat. Do you think otherwise?
I have never claimed he did this thing. Only that he might be capable of it and the coincidence of this woman’s death concerns me. I asked for evidence (any real evidence) that my concern is unjustified. My offhand remark about too many coincidences in the Bush family history stands. This is of course MY opinion and is really not relevant to the OP other than I like to be honest when expressing myself to y’all. I don’t trust the man, nor his Poppy. I want you to know that going in. But I’m not going to say he murdered this woman without anything more than the fact that she had charged him and then she died.

I really was sincere when I asked for some info. on this. Instead I get some guy calling me a “loony”. That’s a great strategy when you’re attempting to educate someone about a subject. I don’t always come here to answer questions you know. Most of the time I’m learning. I would hope some of you are too.

Where do I stand on this right now? I’m leaning towards the idea that she was mentally ill and probably did commit suicide. But I’ve yet to see any really convincing evidence either way. It has been swept under the door instead of being made known. So far no one here has claimed knowledge of this before this OP, perhaps rightly so. Then again, (I can’t speak speak for you) I’m getting really tired of finding out things about GWB that should’ve been made public. Things that for most politicians would’ve been dwelled upon.

I do appreciate the folks here who have been respectful in their replies.

I haven’t had the chance to read this yet, but I will tonight. Thanks

I’m sorry, what are you disagreeing with?

I think this woman was nuts, and committed suicide. I think the allegations she made against Bush are obviously insane nonsense. The fact that they are so obviously fantastic is the reason no respectable news source has bothered about it.

I am sure the locked wards in most major cities have dozens of people who make similar allegations. Most people can tell when someone is too mentally ill to take seriously. Some, even on the Dope, cannot.

Sorry if I was unclear.

Shodan

I note that my link doesn’t seem to work. Here it is, without the VB coding:

http://www.trance-formation.org/index2.htm

You thought she sounded schizophrenic. I thought she sounded paranoid. Maybe she was a paranoid schizophrenic. Maybe she was completely sane, and there really is an FBI rape-and-coverup unit that eventually kills its victims and stages the scenes as suicide. Maybe Fox News is secretly aiming cobalt beams at private citizens and manipulating the world tinfoil supply. Who knows?

For the record, t-keela, I did not call you loony. What I said was “…it really doesn’t help in the fight to unseat Bush if his opponents can be portrayed as allies of raving loonies.”

This sort of stuff comes across as at least as nutty as all the Enemies of Bill hoopla over his supposed drug trafficking schemes and the Secret Mason-Hillary Cabal that murdered Vince Foster. All we need now is for someone to pull all the GWB conspiracy stuff together in a mass-marketed video (it would help if there were left-wing fundie-loonies to work on this, but I can’t think of any offhand).

I think Bush is quite possibly the worst president the U.S. has ever had, but I can’t for the life of me understand how this thread is still going. The woman was quite obviously a nut-job. What happened is tragic - tragic because that woman suffered from mental illness and took her own life, and that is truly sad. Bush has done enough bad things; we don’t need to diminish that by inventing hair-brained conspiracy theories.

I’m not quite sure what this means. 9mm Glocks are rather popular handguns in a very common caliber.

Now if she had a 50 year old 6.5mm carcano lying next to her, maybe you’d have a point.

I agree that after digging a little deeper this seems pretty far-out. When I posted this question last night I only had a few references and some recall of the events from the news at the time. I remember that it was taken seriously at the time. It was serious enough for charges to be filed and subpoenas to be served and court dates to be made and investigations etc.

I still haven’t heard much evidence regarding her history of illness. Other than the crazy charges of FBI agents and multiple rapes. I haven’t read anything yet regarding the dismissal of charges. Not even a reply or response pertaining to the subpoena that was served on GWB.

See, I’m not claiming HE did anything. I also can’t PROVE anything either way. I would like a little better defense than, “Oh, she’s just crazy.” That maybe so, I’d say probably given the very little evidence provided thus far.
IIRC she was a lawyer, or was she just going to defend herself? Yeah I need to go back and reread. (Just got back into town, been gone most of the day)
Are there any doctors reports ? I guess law enforcement took her seriously enough, at first anyway.

Oh well, I suppose there’s no prior discussion of this on the boards. Sorry to have wasted y’alls time. I feel a little better about the situation but I’ll follow up some more. See if I can find out if they knew each other at least. She may be just another nutcase the Bush’s knew, kinda like John Hinkley. Not saying John was working for the Bushes, OKAY. Just dammit…you know, that’s gotta be some kind of bad ass luck to be directly linked to these crazies.
I don’t suppose anyone’s got a list of the folks tied to the Bush family that would fall into that category.

I might just hafta write that screenplay/video Jack was talking about. It’d be a guaranteed success. What is the population of people who would see it? Maybe half a billion worldwide at 5-10 bucks a pop…

 g-nite all
In closing I’d like to add.
I asked a similar question to this one a long time ago. It was about the JFK/Bush/CIA conspiracy. I did not say that I agreed with it then. I simply brought it up because it was new to me. I got fucking crucified for even mentioning it. It’s like some folks around here can’t even ask about, much less DISCUSS an unpopular idea or the basis for someone else’s theory. In the fight against ignorance, we should provide evidence as the basis for our side of an issue. Not shout out against those with whom we disagree. I also believe in the right of someone to argue both sides of an issue. I may not agree with a certain idea, but by arguing both sides I often learn something I may have overlooked
when focusing on one side OR the other. This usually comes in handy when confronted again in a similar situation. Even if the only thing I learn is the other side’s demeanor, tactics, strengths, weaknesses, etc.

I have always tried to be respectful to others at the SDMB (With a few possible exceptions to trolls and such, sorry). I assume most folks here mean well. I have noticed a rather disrespectful attitude prevailing lately. Perhaps I’m just naive and am only noticing it more. It seems that more and more frequently posters are rebuked rather than being informed.
Not everything has to be a damned fight. I am so friggin tired of people fighting I can barely stand it. WE should be able to do better, be an example. I’ve tried to live this way.
Sorry…this is turning into a rant and I didn’t intend to go there. Like I said at first, I didn’t know where this thread was headed.
Y’all take care, t/k
