Women who use multiple purses - what do you move between them?

I’ve only ever used one purse at a time. It just seems like way to much effort to move all the needed stuff back and forth between more.

So, ladies that use multiple purses, how do you do it? What do you transfer between bags? Do you keep standard stuff like kleenex in each bag or move them?

I don’t carry a ton of stuff in my purses so it’s pretty easy just to take everything from one and put it in the other. I can’t imagine having so much stuff in my purse that it would make it difficult to swap out.

I switch purses at least twice a week. The ones I’m not using are stored on a shelf in my closet, with tissue paper in them.

In each purse I keep a chapstick and a pen. I move my wallet, my keys, my phone, my planner, my little survival kit of useful supplies (bandaids, pain killers, tampons, safety pin, breath mints etc) and my reusable shopping bag.

In some handbags I use a product called the pursekette or similar. Right now I am using a crossbody bag with my money and cards and transferring that between bags and moving over the cellphone and sunglasses.

The purse i use depends on what i feel like carrying. A small bag is easiest to look after when i have to push my father in his wheelchair. I might take a bigger bag to the library. Sometimes i will forgo a purse and use a backpack or messenger bag

Stuff i transfer includes wallet, calendar, ink pens, lip balm. coin pouch, medication, handkerchief or tissues and my glasses case.

I use a largish backpack as my primary purse. Occasionally, I’ll just bring my wallet if I don’t feel like schlepping the backpack. Or I’ll put my wallet in my messenger bag if I have to take my netbook somewhere and don’t want to schlep multiple bags.

I’ve got most of my stuff in “containers” — cosmetic bag for lipsticks, kleenex and first-aid type stuff; another little pouch for my car’s keyless fob, as well as the keyring I now barely use and key to my office; yet another for my tape recorder and a few other work things. Then there’s just the camera and phone to move, plus whatever volume of papers I think I’ve got to have on me at all times. It doesn’t take much time. I have many purses and switch at least once a week, if not more frequently, depending on my outfit or mood.

Wallet, keys, phone. Wallet-keys-phone. Whenever I leave the house, whatever else I may be carrying, as I step out the door, I do the check: walletkeysphone? Good. Let’s go. Everything else I might want (pens, lip balm, tissues, etc.) is already in each bag.

I carry a big bag for work, so I can take home projects and equipment if need be, but on the weekends, I don’t want to lug all that around, so I switch to something just big enough for my walletkeysphone, and maybe some other stuff.

I change my purses with my outfits almost daily. I take everything out of one and put it in another. The trick is to keep everything in smaller cosmetic pouches to make it easier to move the contents.

I don’t carry much, so it’s easy to switch. Wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone.
