I wear a bra for support and because my boobs are more comfortable if I’m wearing one. Also, if I’m not wearing one, it’s really obvious, and I would prefer that not be what someone notices about me.
I hate shopping for bras. Perhaps I need to go somewhere to get fitted properly, but I just can’t get past spending big bucks for a bra. Then there’s the issue of having to look at my scantily clad upper half, belly and all, in the bright light of a change room mirror. I can try on twenty bras before I find one that fits - everything in a 38-40 BCD range because each brand fits differently and 38C in one brand is perfect, but too small in another so try the 40B and C to see if maybe, but no the cups are totally the wrong shape. Then the jiggle test to make sure it doesn’t shift when I move and then hope that it’s still as comfortable all day as it seemed to be for the minute I wore it trying it on. I need to go soon, not looking forward to it.
I picked society - I don’t like being seen without a bra on, because it’s definitely noticeable and not what I’m “supposed” to do. But it comes off as soon as I get home from work. Also, I’m cold-natured and my nipples are often quite visible without a molded bra (show right through regular ones). That’s another societal no-no. Lastly would be in the “other” category of having a more attractive shape when wearing a bra.
Also, I was an A in my youth and went bra-less as much as possible. Now I’m a C. They move more than when they were an A, and it’s more comfortable to have some support. I’m thinking about wearing a “leisure bra” to keep things where they belong when I sleep, FFS. Nothing like rolling over on your boobs wrong.
A scientist from Texas A&M University has invented a bra that keeps women’s breasts from jiggling and prevents the nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in.
At a news conference announcing the invention,
a large group of men took the scientist outside and kicked the shit out of him.
I need support. I look much better with a good bra on. And when I was 16, I lived in a place where many girls did not wear bras and I saw the effects on breasts larger than a B. Converted me for life.
I hate them, and every other tight garment. I wear one when I go out in public so I look right. Usually a sports bra as they don’t cut into me or slide around. I’ve found that it bothers me (probably no one else) if I don’t – I feel sort of sloppy and exposed. When I come home I take it right off. I don’t find it uncomfortable in the slightest to go without. I’m your basic medium size.
I’m with you. I’m surprised to hear about women who find they sweat less with bras, I’m the opposite, I find them hot. I’m a C cup. I feel kind of trashy if I’m out in public without one, so I wear them, but they’re off the second I walk through the door.
My wife says she wears one (i) out of habit, (ii) because she doesn’t want her tits to sag when she gets older, and (iii) as an example to our daughters, so they see that it’s customary to wear one.
At 47 and after nursing two kids, she’s still pretty firm and not in much danger of major sagginess, but she says overall she usually feels more comfortable in one. Although, we went away over the summer and except for bikini tops, she went braless the whole week. It was in the Caribbean and she only wore tank tops & sundresses, so it was easy to get away with it.
Two reasons: because it’s expected for grown women to wear them. If it weren’t for that I’d wear one for exactly 46 minutes a day only, during my run.
I hate bras with a passion - they’re hot and scratchy and have parts that dig in or slip off or just annoy the wearer. I have never ever had one that was anywhere close to being comfortable. But, I gotta pass for normal, so I wear 'em.
