Women writing military fiction thrillers

It seems that the military-thriller fiction genre is written almost exclusively by men, and especially white men (Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, etc.) Does anyone know of any female authors who write or have written Tom Clancy-type military fiction novels?

I don’t know if you count military science fiction, but Elizabeth Moon, who was a US Marine, has written space operas with warships, etc.

I’m pretty sure that Mercedes Lackey has some military SF, too.

Lois McMaster Bujold is another woman who’s written military SF.

I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if some “male” military thriller writers are women using pen names.

The reverse is certainly true about romance writers.

I do know of Rebecca M. Meluch, who writes military SF under the pen name of R. M. Meluch. Some reviewers have complained about her sexism, too.

More military SF, try Linda Nagata http://www.mythicisland.com/.

An Infamous Army by Georgette Hyer. Fiction based around the days leading up to Waterloo.
