If I killed another poster, and let’s say everyone knew I did it, would I be banned? Let’s say I don’t talk about it, I’m not rubbing it in anyone’s face. It was just known that I killed another poster, or did something horrible to them, does that result in a banning? Oh and for the sake of argument, I am not in jail because of a technicality

An action doesn’t become obnoxious just because other people don’t like it. You’re not obliged to stop doing something just because somebody else complains, and your refusal to indulge their preferences isn’t rude. It’s true that sometimes you have to go along to get along, but this isn’t a majority rule kind of thing. If a bunch of posters decided they were offended and demanded you stop killing posters, would you be inherently obnoxious if you refused? The answer is no.
We also generally don’t moderate off-board behavior. Two Dopers having an IRL problem isn’t our concern, and the mods have long told posters here to keep their off-board problems off-board.

You can drop the dime and get the killer executed and you won’t be banned, unless you bragged on the boards that you did so. Sending a killer to their death is fine. Talking about it is being a jerk.

Plus, I don’t think you’d have to sleuth it out - if the authorities somehow didn’t know, just pointing them to thread would presumably get a subpoena delivered post-haste to TPTB.
