Well, sounds like this guy certainly learned his lesson.
Basic summary for people who don’t want to click the link: a woman was walking through a park in Pittsburgh when a guy came up behind her, pointed a rifle at her and told her to stand still while he shot her. She ran and got away.
Later that night, she started getting followed by the same guy, on her way up a hill. He started chasing her, and pulled out the rifle again. Only this time she pulled out her (lisenced) .357 revolver and shot him twice. Not critically, but enough to make him get the message.
Not only that, but the guy is now being held as a suspect in a number of sexual assaults throughout Pittsburgh over the last couple months, so she might have really done the community a favor. Just thought the story was pretty cool, m’self.
(Quick Note: I’d really rather not have this turn into a debate over gun-control, so please keep any comments in that vein to yourself, kay?)
I second the “You go, girl!” At least this guy was stupid as well as criminal, and so could be spotted and removed.
The story reminds me of what George Carlin said about Loreena Bobbit, that “[she] only did what men do to each other all the time. She showed an asshole she meant business.”
It’s always good to hear of a person taking care of themselves and taking someone like that off the street. A friend of **Fionn[/b/'s and mine was followed home from the grocery store one day. She went and hung out in her apartment’s office until the guy left, but it would have been really nice to hear he followed her home to walk in with her casually sitting there pointing a gun at the fucker. A few shots to the kneecaps would have been nice as well.
I’m glad to hear this guy’s off the streets and I hope they convict him of every previous crime as well as this one and lock him up for a very long time.
