I just found out that Astrogirl’s Fiancee visa was approved by the INS (or whatever it is called now)!
Happy, happy, happy! I get my Astrogirl sometime soon!

No job yet, and that may turn out to be an issue soon, as I have to prove that I can support Astrogirl financially (and keep her filled up with dried squid and kim-chi) sometime in the next few weeks… so basically, I’m looking for ANY job right now! If someone offers to pay me for filling the cooler at 7-11, I’m gonna say “yes!”
The INS requires that I prove that I am making $14,400 a year in order to bring AG here for my nefarious purposes (IE: marriage). That works out to about $7 an hour… so any job at all will do! Hehe… (seems odd to me that I can’t just show them a bank account statement with a balance way more than that amount, but whatever… apparently you need five times that amount, IIRC, to just show a bank account statement, and we fall a bit short of that.) The alternate route would be to get my father or a sibling to sign a paper swearing to support her. I really don’t want to have to ask any of my family to do that unless I run completely out of options.
Anyways, we’re both pretty happy right now!

There’s a such thing as a “fiancee visa”? That’s a new one on me, although I can’t say that I’m a visa expert.
