Submitted this question to Cecil, but it wasn’t chosen - anybody have an answer for me?
Can you tell me what the story is with “Woody” the cowboy from the Disney “Toy Story” series. Apparently, little wooden dolls of Woody carried by some people have a meaning that escapes me. My ladyfriend and I were with somebody who is quite outspoken, and she carried a little wooden Woody Doll that some people (even strangers supposedly “in the know”) responded to in ways I didn’t quite understand, as if the doll had some sort of sexual connotation. I know what a “woody” is in that sense, but this apparently went beyond that, as if those in the know were part of a club. We weren’t let in on the secret, and I’m not sure if we were being kidded or there was some significance to it beyond the innocent movie. Jimg
