I got a wild notion to start playing golf again. I haven’t played in over ten years and I was honestly never any good but I really enjoyed it especially when I can play with duffers like myself. I asked if my wife would like to give it a try and she said she would. My mom heard this and before we knew it all of us had new clubs. We all went to a public course driving range this morning and I was suprised how much I remember. I still do stupid beginner things like bending my arm and topping the ball but the new clubs made it a lot easier to hit straigh than I remember. I have no distance and seem to be h itting every club about 125 yards or so be it a nine iron or a driver but I’d much rather have control than distance for now. TheLadyLion was a bit more timid but seemed to be getting a good feel for her clubs and was hitting some short pitches just fine. I doubt if she’ll want to play a course much before the weather cools off maybe in October but when she is we have a couple of inexpensive nine hole couses near where we live.
