Woohoo! I finally got the Dragon! Anyone want Puss-in-Boots?

Shrek 2 is due out in theatres. In conjunction with General Mills, there is a free watch in every specially marked box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Ten different watches in all (see below) and even better, they are all plastic, all over - I have a problem with the metal in most watches: no matter whether the watch is cheap or expensive, I can only wear them for about a day before I get what looks like a serious case of oozing nastiness on my wrist.

These prizes are cool. But I’ve had to buy a lot of cereal to get what I finally wanted. Four Puss-in-Boots, one human Fiona, and FINALLY!!! the dragon!!! I am happy. And thank goodness the neighbor kids love the cereal. It works out quite well; I keep the toy, they get the cereal (mom’s happy, this way she does not have to buy cereal and they don’t fight over the toy)

So what toys in cereal boxes have you ever wanted, whether you were a kid or grown-up at the time? (Believe me, my inner child is happy, happy, happy!

I buy stuff for the toy all the time. Not cereal so much any more but kid’s meals, yes. I have a gigundo collection of the teeny beanies from McDonald’s. I have actually found a use for them, though, they make a great and safe Christmas tree for school. I always look at the little toys at yard sales. I think it relates to my collection of miniature things.

When my daughter (Cubgirl) was very small, she coveted a Smurfette glass that Burger King had as a promotion. The manager said they were out but she threw a fit because there was one she could see in the display case. So, she didn’t get it. I found one in a antique/junk store and gave it to her for her 18th birthday. She still says that was the best present she got that year. Her inner child was very happy that day.
