Word for the effect of compound interest etc.

What’s that word for when things build on themselves, like compound interest? Begins with a “c”, I can only think of cumulative, which you know isn’t it…

Recursive? Aggrandize? Exponential? Geometric? Amplify?

No, but thanks. It would fit in a sentence as “Money is c–: the more you have, the more you can make.” Just one of those blocks…

Compounding.

Accruing or accumulating would fit.

My guess is you’re looking for something that fits the old expression that “money begets money”. One word that could work is “procreative” … money is procreative. Money will make more money, and the more money you have, the more you can make. Can’t think of any other word for you.

John von Neumann’s Universal Constructor is a self-replicating machine in a cellular automata. I suppose it is possible to think of money as a self-replicating machine that produces more money.
