Word you always mis-type (lite post)

I type “you” for “your” a lot and the spell checker of course doesn’t care. But I come up with sentences like …

What’s you opinion?

sheesh

I usually hang on opinoin, oponion, opoinioin…y’know, what I think.

As a long-time student of typos (something one needs to study when developing search strategies and forms) I have favorite.

This isn’t one of my, especially, but typing copu for copy if always high on the list - even with people who do not miss the Y in other words. I suspect that because the O and P are close, and close to the U, the brain just wants fingers to stay in that neighborhood.

When I’m in a hurry to type something important – too much of a hurry to write it and set it aside before sending – I switch to two-fingered hunt and peck.

Alwasys you’re

Oppurtunity. Also diarrhea. Both more problems with me not being able to remember how to spell than with my typing skills.

Glad I’m no the only one that mistypes “the”

Every once in a while I have to type a couple paragraphs at work and invariably I find “hte” on the spellcheck.

Goan

Buisness

I cannot spell occaision, or worse, occasionally. I’ve tried, but every time I wonder if I’ve spelled it right. Of couresenow it feels like I’m maknig typos evdry other word! Thank og for the backspace button! I’ve also been known to try to misspell my own handle.

(and yes, I’ve even tried to screw taht up. Can’t you just see it happening in a religious debate with a newbie?!:D)

I can never type interesting correcly. It always comes out intersting, missing the second ‘e’. No matter how many times I type the damn word I have to go back and correct it. Maybe I should just come up with another word.

receive - always comes out recieve, i just can’t do it. if someone put a gun to my mothers head and said type it, i’d have to tell them to kill her

Any word beginning “wa” gets a “t”. This I can explain - I work with a class of galaxies known as “Wide Angle Tailed radio galaxies”, commonly abbreviated to “WAT”. I’ve been using this abreviation on an almost daily basis since October, my fingers do it on autopilot

“Problem” always wants to come out as “probalem”.

And I can’t type “September” to save my life. I can touch-type, I’ve worked as a typist for a couple of years, I can type without looking at the keyboard or even really thinking much about it, but if for any reason I have to type “September”, I completely crash and get mixed up and it comes out as “spetmerb” or something equally ridiculous. I have to stop and very carefully type the damn thing out with the two-finger hunt-and-peck method.

I have NO idea why this happens.

I often get “nest” when I wanted “next.” Of course spell check is no good here, either. I discovered my making this error yet again after I sent out an email last night.
