EBONY also fits.
Update: but not with your second guess.
I found tomorrow’s particularly challenging. Not because it took a lot of attempts, but because of the letters I had available.

I thought I had it with epoch. And here I wondered why a trademark was being used as a word, turns out it was something that I got wrong all these years.
Wordle 280 4/6
This one really beat me up, time-wise. After my first word I knew “O” in the middle and an “E.” And figuring that the O and E wouldn’t be next to each other (as “oe” and “eo” five-letter common English words are–not common), I guessed the first letter must be E.
So I thought of all the “E _ O _ _” words I could but that list didn’t include “EPOXY”—that one didn’t occur to me until more than 30 minutes after I’d started.
I need to start setting myself a time limit.

MOPEY
MOPEY I knew wasn’t right, but needed another letter to figure it out. I took a long time between guesses at the end, too.
Holy smokes, that was a toughie!
Wordle 280 5/6
I thought for sure that my 4th word was it. Then looking at the unused letters, I saw only one possibility.

NYMPH
Fair, but hard. Took me four, after getting all of one letter after two guesses.
I also eliminated all 5 regular vowels after three guesses.

Tricksy tricksy. And at this point I’m just throwing letter combinations up for my opener hoping for a valid guess.
I had a hard enough time coming up with even a second word, but finally came up with both adapt and graph. Choosing either would have likely left only one word. Thankfully I had checked O or I might have tried OOMPH.

I feel like such a cheater. After the first two I could not think of a word and I didn’t want to waste a guess with a word I knew was wrong just to hunt for more letters so I used an anagram finder to look for words containing the letters I knew had to be in the word. What are your thoughts? Is it cheating to look at a list of possible words?
Wordle 281 4/6
TRACE
LIONS
HUNKY
NYMPH
My normal for the main game is TRACE. And I came up with LIONS as the second word if there are no letters from TRACE. When I was finished I used Excel and the word list and there were only three words that fit - HUNKY, FUNKY and NYMPH. If I only used words from the list I would have got it in 3 or 4. But, it took some time to find the words.
Y’all striking out in top rows then nailing it in 3, respect!
