Hey, I’ll take a four every day and be happy. I thought about the possibility of a repeated E early on, but wanted to exhaust all the vowels first. By four, I was pretty much down to SEVER and SEWER. (Didn’t see SEDER, but I doubt it’s a likely answer; likewise for some others like HEXER or HEWER.) So I never got worried on this one.

I got to use my Scrabble tiles for the first time today. I have a pile of 12 letters that spell out ‘clamp store’ plus two extra letters: N can replace M and I can replace any vowel. After my first word I was left with LAMPRE (NI) and used the Scrabble tiles to come up with panel for my second word. Fun!
Then it was back to business the regular way. So many yellows. At first I thought I’d short-circuited the _EDGE mini-trap but it turns out I just fell right into the _IELD mini-trap instead. With only three possibilities and three guesses available to me I decided to just guess them in the order I saw them. At least that way I still had a chance at a 4.

Had to work for that one! So many words it could have been, so I had to do a letter check for my third word. After Steer, it could only be Sever or Sewer, as far as I could tell. Picked the right one.
True! It’s always a good feeling to avoid the dreaded fail, especially with the way the words have been going lately! I’ve only had one, and I’d like to keep it that way.
