Had a chance at a two here if I’d thought about it more. I usually use the second word to clean up the unused vowels. But since I hit two vowels on the opener I overlooked the possibility of a third. After yesterday’s six, though, I’m quite happy with the birdie here.
(Don’t know why ALIEN wasn’t on my starter list. It is now.)

I’d say it was luck, but it wasn’t. Not entirely. I wrenched away with those 3 vowels for an hour. To the extent luck was involved, it never occurred to me to try words with ‘IA’ at the end. WordleBot advised post-game that there were 2 other words besides the correct one – and I believe both of them ended in ‘IA.’ (SEPIA and MEDIA).

A nice way to play my 200th consecutive winning game. :slight_smile:

After my second guess I saw the S_EAR swamp, and also the S_ARE swamp. So I played SCAMP to eliminate some of those. That enabled me to get it in 4.
