After the fact, WordleBot advised I had 2 choices after BISON: FUNGI and UNZIP. Fortunately, I was playing with UNI words when the answer finally came into view. I’d tried so many letter combinations at that point, I nearly whipped past it. Thankfully, the lizard brain kicked in: “Waitaminute… go back!”

PRIZE → Not an unexpected opening result. Common letters, to the fore!
STAIN → Just an N. and not placed. Like the I. But IN is pretty common…
CHINO → …but I already tested the I there! Duh. Perhaps it’s in second position?
WINDY → No. The end? Must be a U in there, but not ENNUI. ?UN?I, so

An interesting choice for a first word, though - not a lot of high-frequency letters there.
I try to use a different word every time. Sometimes it works out for me, as it did this time and the one other time I aced it.

I was a bit surprised that WINGY was on the word list, but luckily it pointed me to the solution. I felt I deserved some luck after the 1st guess being unlucky and the 2nd being unlucky[/spoiler]
Wordlebot question: why does it go with CHORE as a 2nd guess, with a score of 99 for it? In contrast, my guess CROUP is rated at 93. I don’t see why CHORE is supposedly a good guess especially since when E has already been eliminated?

Sometimes I really get annoyed with this game. In hindsight, I should have tried for the ‘i’ earlier on, but Wordle is always trying to trip us up, so I went with a double H. Then trying for a double U and that not being right either. 
Turns out it was a word with uncommon letter placements…another Wordle “gotcha”. Eventually, they will run out of uncommon letter placements, double letters, and non-words, and it will be easy street. 
That said, I don’t mind a challenge, but just feeling frustrated with the game these days.
