Funny story. I was thisclose to plopping down PRIZE at two, since it was the first word to pop into my head. But then, since there were way too many possible answers and I didn’t want to waste any guesses, I slowed myself down and took a more methodical approach. Which of course led me back to… PRIZE. In four instead of two.
Some days I hate this game.

Unsatisfying result with the roll of the dice just not working in my favor. Win some lose some, but it wasn’t a fail…so there’s that.
CHIEF → Yeah, I started with the wrong “yesterday’s word” here. I don’t think it would have made much of a difference.
STILE → Two vowels in place, no consonants yet. Trap?
BRINE → Got one consonant. Two more in 3 guesses…
DRIVE → Swing and a miss. We’re running out of letters - maybe some rarer ones?

Another of those ‘glad to get it in 4, because I couldn’t have gotten it any faster’ rounds. One of those times when what saves you is you don’t have many letters that are still eligible. After three guesses, I knew only 2 letters, but as best as I could tell, there was only one possible solution anyway.

Quick and easy three, even before coffee. I thought this one might give people some trouble, given that a terminal I is unusual. But as a group we’re doing pretty well!
