Woo-hoo! Can’t even remember my last two.
My first time using AISLE as a starter and it turned out to be lucky. I almost went with ALIVE, but something told me, no, try ALIKE first. I outsmarted Wordle for a change!
(And, I like symmetrical patterns. A good day.)
Like several others here, I was down to a choice between the solution and ALIVE. I won the literal coin toss this time - I was so undecided that I actually flipped a coin to make my decision.
I did it in one, but I inadvertently cheated. I opened this thread before doing the puzzle and the mouse-over revealed the answer. I did it anyway, just to be called a “genius”.
TRICE → OK, good on the vowels - but there’s a lot of consonants out there.
WHINE → Don’t know why I didn’t do SHINE. Well, next guess…
SLIME → Hit on the L! Too many possibilities still out there…
GLIDE → Strikeout. I’m late to notice, but I need to check some vowel possibilities. OLIVE? or… ALIVE → Hit the A, not the V. Not many consonants left, and only one that fits… ALIKE
19 greens out of 30 spaces. I wonder what the record is for most greens on a single wordle? If someone hit a 6-way trap on their first guess, then went the distance, that would be 25.
