A nice start, but I did not expect a two. I was just trying to place letters at that point. Thought about FAINT and PAINT, but figured the S had a better chance of hitting. And then, boom! A pleasant surprise.
That was my exact same three word progression! Run of the mill minds thing alike!

Woohoo, I got it in two! 
Great start word, but I had a long list of words to try for my second word, which I expected, and I got lucky with choosing the best word from my list - it had the most letters used in all of the words so I could narrow things down, and narrowed down I did! ;).
Well, I was being a dummy…I discovered that I had my adblocker turned off, though no idea why as I never mess with that on the Wordle site. Problem solved.
I was so annoyed by yesterday’s winning word that I forgot to mention that ads started that day. (You and I must be the only two playing on a non-phone device.) On my comp the NYT has set the page up so that it’s not possible to scroll down past the distracting video…grrr.
Well, that’s American business.

Lucky guesses for 1 and 2. And, how refreshing: a ‘normal’ winner!
I was able to scroll down just barely enough so the ad portion didn’t show. For my ad blocker, I use uBlock Origin add-on, and it works great. You can turn it on or off for each site you want it activated on (the icon is always up top to access).

Abandoned hard mode to steal a three, only to choke it away in comical fashion.
After 1 I could see alone/along, aloud, bloke, blood/flood, blown/flown, glove, and also (less likely) blowy/flowy/glowy.
If those were the only options, badge as a second guess had a decent chance to positively identify the answer. Unfortunately badge eliminated all of them, leaving me scratching my head. (How is it not glove?!) Finally I was like, well I don’t see anything else, guess it has to be glowy. Doh!
Maybe next time I should check R. I hear that might be a pretty popular letter. What a maroon. Trombone wha-whaaa.

WordleBot was withering in its praise. It made sure to tell me that while my third guess was brilliant because it is a valid word and eliminated all words but the answer, it isn’t a word that’s considered a Wordle solution. So this is what I get for not using Wordle-related lists.
