Glad to get this in 3…could have been a lot worse with that REA trap! Got lucky with choosing the right word out of a list of about 7 words it could have been. Though, I’m a little frustrated with myself…this is the 4th time in the last week that I’ve played a letter that wasn’t valid.
Same! Just went with the one I was feeling the most and took a chance.
PHOTO → Strikeout! RAISE → Lotta possibilities with those three letters… maybe it’s time for an N or M.
CREAM → Ooh, lucky! Could be BREAM in theory, but I’ll try DREAM
I almost thought CRANE for the third guess until I saw the E had already gone last. Would have been a costly mistake.
My vowel-heavy approach didn’t do me any favors today.
I came up with 9 possible S_A_E solutions, so a test word was prudent.
Wasn’t sure if CLIPT was a word, but it did what I needed it to, and I live to Wordle another day.
My second guess put me in a position I don’t think I’ve ever had with Wordle: three letters in confirmed position, with the other two letters confirmed as being in the word, but in the wrong positions. (So, just a switch.)
DREAM → A vowel-heavy start. Try to find some consonants SHAKE → Got one, and placed it and the vowels. Seems a little trap-adjacent, though. Can I at least get one consonant with the next guess? SC-, SL-, SP-, ST-, SW- are possible starts, I think L & T might be my best bets, then P & C. SLATE → Welp, got two. So… STALE
As an aside, recounting my third guess above involved typing no less than sixteen asterisks, a feat that, like a 300 game in bowling, may be equaled but never exceeded.
@BobLibDem, I’m curious on how you decided to go with STATE, with repeated T’s, as your second guess? I mean, it worked, but it’s a bit unconventional.
