DOYEN was a long-shot as a Wordle solution, but it did give me the D (as well as cut off a lot of other options). I’d have gone for UNDER next except that E in fourth position was prohibited.

ANODE → Good luck gets the N. Only one spot left for the D, as DN- is a nowhere prefix. Only unused vowel left is U. Could it start with END-? No? Then UND-E… UNDYE? No. Two Us?

Took me a while to see it. I was so focused on words starting with N for my 3rd word and had three to choose from (Niche, Niece, and Nudge)…almost went with Nudge as I now see 3-4 others here did, but wouldn’t have mattered, still would have gotten it in 4, which is fine.
I still have more 3’s this month than 4’s (which hasn’t happened since May), but the 4’s are quickly catching up…only one away from a tie and one day left to close out the month - better get a 3 tomorrow.

This was a rough one. QUEST was an odd choice but I needed the vowels. After the next two choices I saw STUFF, STUDY, and STUNG. I was looking for a word with as many letters to delete as possible. I randomly put in FENDY and was surprised that it was accepted.
